Delicioussss Came around lunch time and there was only a handful of people but you can tell they were all regulars, and I can see why. The place is clean and small but there was plenty of space to sit. The service was also fast and friendly. I got the Tri-tip tacos combo which included 3 tacos, macaroni or potato salad, and a fountain drink for $16. Not bad at all, it was all very filling. The macaroni is a cold macaroni salad and tasted like potato salad, which I quite enjoyed. The tri-tip was perfectly sliced and smoky, you get the perfect bite every time. It also wasn't chewy, but more buttery. And they stack each taco with a lot of cheese! Their red salsa is what did it for me, it had a similar flavor to street taco salsa.. super spicy how I like it! Overall great place, can't wait to come back and try their sandwiches.

First time I had their tri-tip breakfast burrito, and boy what an eye opener (literally at 7:00am)! I'm always here for their tacos, pastrami sandos and even the tuna melt that has the perfectly toasted sourdough and mayo to tuna ratio. But today was all about the burrito. Tender, shaved tri-tip after each bite with fresh, scrambled eggs, diced potatoes, and grilled bells/onions and melted jack cheese. Drizzle their red sauce and OMG you'll have one helluva meal. This is no doubt a heavy breakfast (literally, like 1/2 lb+.), so this monstrosity of a burrito can make you skip lunch! And there's a guy smoking the tri-tips in the parking lot...now that's what you call a smart marketing ploy!

Saw the good reviews here so we thought it was a good place for lunch! Seems like a nice local non chain place and it feels good to support these types of establishments! They have a pretty good selection of lunch items but it seems like the tri tip is the star so we went with that. Got a tri tip combo with potato salad, the Train Wreck sandwich, cheeseburger for the kid, and an order of fries. The tri tip was very tasty and they give a good amount of meat. I preferred the regular tri tip to the smoked tri tip inside the Train Wreck. The cheeseburger was decent as well. Overall, a good experience, definitely would come back for more tri tip!

Stopped in for breakfast burritos yesterday. I ordered the chorizo burrito and wife ordered the bacon burrito. Service was friendly and the food was delivered quickly. It's a typical small cafe atmosphere kept orderly and clean. The food was absolutely delicious and we both ate for under $20.

We tried the tri tip tacos this morning a recommendation from the hubby's friend. Might I say that these are by far the best tri tip tacos I have had. We will be returning!

PORTIONS: filling and hearty PRICE: appropriate SERVICE: counter style AMBIANCE: clean, simple FLAVORS: Train wreck (5/5): like a Philly cheesesteak and a pastrami sandwich invited some tri tip over for a game night. The cheese can be overwhelming at points but I like that. Pastrami (15/5!): we might've liked this more even though it's much simpler in terms of ingredients

Delicious tri tip tacos. Two thirds I live in one. Tacos and some nicely smoked beef. Three tacos to an order. Each had a substantial portion of deliciously smoked meat that was thinly sliced. The tortillas were freshly fried and dusted with a nice dried cheese. Inside was some nice iceberg and a good handful of Mexican blend cheese. Served with a side sauce in a squirt bottle that I tasted first. A tad hot but a tad too watery at first taste. Ultimately it was a perfect taco sauce that stood up so well to that deliciously lean meat. The service was quick and smooth. It's an order at the counter setup. There were plenty of other tasty looking option on the menu. For me it's going to be tri tip on the regular. An absolute repeat. Parking can test your patience. Ultimately easy enough with some patience. Sooo Goood!!!

I have the original location in old book marked for ages but never got around to trying it. Thank goodness they have arrived in Elk Grove. Located in next door to Star Bucks in the strip mall next to the auto mall entrance Roundhouse is a little hard to see. The place is pretty small with room for 20 or so. Fortunately the food comes out fast despite the popularity of the place. We tried the following: Tri Tip Tacos, 3 for $15.50. This is their signature item with tender smoky tri tip front and center. The peppery hot sauce is a must for these delicious tacos. I wish they had a option to add avocado and bbq sauce to these though. Mark Burger $9.50 burger topped with pastrami and crispy bacon on grilled sourdough. This was delicious. Rueben $10.50 ? Grilled rye with pastrami and sour kraut. I thought it was good but my NYC companion didn't said it was just ok. Overall service food and pricing make this a 5 star establishment. Come see for yourself you won't be disappointed.

I was down in this area with some other workers and we tried this place for lunch. There was no line and we ordered right away. My buddy and I decided to split 2 of their sandwiches so we could try both. I got the Trainwreck and it was great I really liked it a lot. My buddy got the tri tip sandwich and it was good. It was perfect getting both since each was good in it's own way. To bad they didn't have one that had both in it like we had it. I will be trying this place again if in the area. The staff were really nice too.
